Inside the Moorlands Triangle is a Secret Garden

Lying inside a triangle of railway viaducts and a major road, the Moorlands Estate holds a secret. A walled garden that is bounded by flats and houses. Hidden by tall plants at its margins is a pond, heaving with wildlife. Hazel, Hawthorn, Elder, Ash, Crab apples and Field maples dot the site and tenants tend their vegetables nearby.

  1. Worth checking out for inspiring green spaces in urban settings is the Union Street urban orchard; visited today and definitely going back! http://www.unionstreetorchard.org.uk/
